After drinking juice we feel very refreshed and get energy. So let's start!
Hello friends, I am Tahir. Today, we will make 5 tasty drinks that you can quickly prepare at home. First, we will make Zesty Sherbet. If you have friends or family coming over, you should definitely make this for them. Then, we will make my personal favorite and loved by all, Hot Chocolate. Holding a warm cup and drinking it on a cold evening is a different kind of pleasure. After that, we will make Coco Water Punch. This is a super drink to serve to your guests, made from coconut water and punch. Then, we will make the famous Turmeric Milk with cardamom and saffron, loved in every Indian household. Lastly, we will prepare the tangy and sweet Jal Jeera. Drinking this always reminds me of pani puri. The special thing about these recipes is that we will not use anything that comes in a packet, can, or box. All ingredients will be 100% fresh and natural. All recipes serve 2 people. So, let’s start with our first drink, the spicy sherbet. To make this, place a pot on medium flame and add 2 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of grated beetroot, and 3 tablespoons of jaggery powder. Mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes. Then add 1 spoon of coriander powder.
Add half a teaspoon of cardamom powder, half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and a pinch of roasted cumin powder. Mix well and let it cook for 2 minutes. Make sure to use measuring cups or spoons that look like this for accuracy. If you use regular bowls and spoons from home, the flavors won't be as good. Measuring cups and spoons are easily available online. Wow, now just turn off the stove and add 1/4 teaspoon of lemon and a pinch of black salt. Once it cools down, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and mix well. Now, we will keep it in the fridge for 1 hour so that it gets a little chilled. Before serving, strain it to make it cool and enjoy it chilled. To tell you the truth, this recipe was developed while we were trying to make a satvik kola, but after many trials and a lot of effort, it just wasn't coming together. However, this delicious recipe was created in the process.
Everyone liked the taste of this recipe so much that we thought, why not share it with you all? Now, it's time for our creamy hot chocolate drink. This drink is like a hug in a cup, seriously. For this, you will need 20 almonds and 6 cashews, both of which we have soaked for 6 hours. It is very important to soak nuts and seeds before eating them, otherwise, the enzymes on their surface make them bitter and hard to digest for our bodies.Take a blender jar and add the soaked almonds, cashews, and half a cup of water. Blend it well until it becomes a smooth paste. Then add another half a cup of water and blend again. Adding water in two stages is important; otherwise, the nuts won't blend properly. Now, using a thin cotton cloth, strain this mixture. After straining, transfer this milk back into the blender and add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, which will give it a rich flavor.
This will give it a chocolaty taste. Make sure to use cacao powder, not cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is processed and not good for health. Cacao powder is easily available online. Now, add 2 tablespoons of jaggery powder and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Blend everything well again in the blender. Pour this chocolate mixture into a pot and let it cook on low heat for 5 minutes, stirring continuously with a spoon. Now, just turn off the stove. The last ingredient is a pinch of rock salt. Add this and cover the pot for 2 minutes.By doing this, our hot chocolate will become even creamier and thicker. Look, our homemade silky smooth hot chocolate is ready, very tasty! And it's a healthy hot chocolate! We didn't add any sugar, cream, or artificial powder. Now, let's move on to our third recipe, Coco Water Punch or as I like to call it, the Energy Punch. We first tried this drink in Bali and loved it so much that we decided to create its Indian version as soon as we got home. Making it is very easy. You'll need 1 stalk of lemongrass, about 4 inches long, 1 piece of ginger, a quarter cup of fresh mint leaves, packed tightly, and a mortar and pestle. Now, crush them in a large bowl or mortar. And pour 2 cups of fresh coconut water over it. Then add 1 lemon, cut into long slices. Now, just wait for 10 minutes until all the flavors blend well into the water. The special thing about this recipe is thatYou can try your own version of this drink. If you like, you can add your favorite fruits like pineapple, peach, or orange to it. Our next drink is the beautiful Saffron Milk, or as we call it, Turmeric Milk. We've all had Turmeric Milk before, but our version is a bit different because we'll make it with almond milk instead of cow's milk. Believe me, this Turmeric Milk will be twice as delicious as your regular Turmeric Milk. First, in a pot, add 1 cup of almond milk and a quarter cup of water. Keep it on boil while we prepareFor this, take a blender and add fifteen peeled almonds with a quarter cup of water, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, a quarter teaspoon of cardamom powder, and strands from fifteen saffron threads, which will give it a deep golden color. Add two tablespoons of jaggery powder for a light spice and wait for a pinch of black pepper powder. And let it cook on medium-high heat for 2 minutes. There you go, it's done! Our turmeric milk is ready, and both its color and fragrance are so wonderful. Now, let's move on to our last drink, Jal Jeera. The best part about this recipe is how quick it is to make. It takes only 5 minutes with just 1 large strainer.1 tablespoon of fresh, chopped cilantro for freshness, 1 beautiful green chili for spiciness, 2 tablespoons of chopped mint leaves, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of roasted cumin powder, 1 teaspoon of black salt, a half-inch piece of ginger, and a quarter teaspoon of black pepper powder. If you like, you can also add 1 tablespoon of jaggery powder to make it slightly sweet and tangy. Personally, I really like jaggery.Just run the blender and blend everything well until everything is finely ground. Make sure everything is thoroughly blended. Here you go, your jal jeera is ready! Pour it into a glass and garnish with fresh mint leaves. What is the benefit of drinking juice?
