What ingredients are required in banana bread recipe?

  • 3 Banana
  • 1 Egg
  • Oil 1/3 Cup (5.5 Tablespoons)
  • Brown Sugar 3/4 Cup,Salt
  • Baking
  • powder
  • Walnuts

Today we will make banana bread in a quick and simple way, my style. So let's start. Here we have 3 overripe bananas, which we will use for the banana bread. Overripe bananas work great for this recipe as they are soft and full of natural sweetness. These bananas are so ripe that their skins are very thin and have an extra sweetness, just like when someone says something sweet. So, I have taken 3 bananas and will mash them with a fork because they are so soft. If your bananas are a bit hard, you can use a potato masher. When using ripe bananas, you can reduce the amount of sugar or honey you add because of the natural sweetness.

See how quickly they mashed. Now we will add 1 room temperature egg. I took it out 1.5 hours ago so it's at room temperature. Mix this well. I have made banana bread on the stove before using honey and various nuts. Today, I'm baking it in the oven with simple ingredients. If you want to make it on the stove, I'll provide a link for that recipe. Now, add one-third cup oil. You can use any oil except mustard oil as it has a strong flavor. Mix this well. Next, add three-fourths cup brown sugar. You can use white sugar, but I prefer brown sugar. If your bananas are not very sweet, you can add a full cup. I used three-fourths because the bananas are already sweet. Banana bread is a great treat, perfect for breakfast or as a snack for kids' lunchboxes or when going to the zoo or park. It's a delight to eat a piece there. Now all the liquid ingredients are mixed.

Next, we add the dry ingredients. I have one and a quarter cups of flour. Add a pinch of salt. I have vanilla powder here; if you have liquid vanilla, add it with the liquid ingredients earlier. I will add half a teaspoon of vanilla powder. Also, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Sift these together and then mix them in. It's so simple. The ingredients are simple, and the method is simple. You don't need any machines or extra utensils. Everyone has overripe bananas at some stage and wonders what to do with them. Now, the dry and liquid ingredients are mixed.

Here, I have walnuts. I chopped them into small pieces, three-fourths of a cup. I used raisins, almonds, and walnuts in the last banana bread I made, but today I'm keeping it simple with just walnuts. I have a greased and lined baking tin here. You can use any oven-proof container. I used a little oil and wax paper. Pour the batter into the tin and even it out. I saved some walnuts to sprinkle on top, about one-fourth cup. Now, place it in the oven preheated to around 350-375°F for about 35-40 minutes. The aroma is fantastic. Let's check if the banana bread is done. Insert a toothpick in the center; if it comes out clean, it's done. Look at this!

Now let it cool on a wire rack for about 5-10 minutes. It’s been about 5 minutes. I have apple jelly here. I am using it for a nice shine and sweetness on the bread. Brush 2 teaspoons of apple jelly on top while it’s still warm for a nice glaze. Let it settle for 2 minutes. Look at the beautiful shine. Use a knife to loosen the edges and then lift it out with the help of the parchment paper. Let it cool completely for about 30 minutes to an hour until it reaches room temperature.

It's been about an hour, and our banana bread is at room temperature. Let’s slice it. Look how beautiful it is and how well it turned out. My favorite piece is the corner piece because it’s darker all around, but you can take whichever piece you like. It’s soft and fluffy. You'll be delighted with the texture. I’ll try it and let you know how it tastes. Look how firm and soft it is. The walnuts add a great crunch, and the apple jelly gives it a lovely sweetness on top.
